Abdulkadir Kure University, Minna (AKUM) has fixed Friday, 10 April 2026 for the opening of its undergraduate hostel accommodation Portal for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The notice is for the University community and states the conditions students must meet before they apply.
Students eligible to apply
The Portal is reserved for newly admitted students and eligible returning students who have completed payment of their 2025/2026 school registration fees.
That means the application window applies only to students within that stated category.
How bed spaces will be allocated
AKUM states that bed spaces are limited; allocation will follow a first-come, first-served process.
With demand expected to be high, eligible students need to begin their applications once the Portal opens.
Payment does not mean automatic occupancy
The University states that payment of accommodation fees does not give an automatic right of occupancy.
Students must present proof of payment to their Hall Administrators and complete the required documentation before they can take physical possession of an allocated bed space.
Rules students must note
The sale, purchase, or unauthorised transfer of bed spaces is prohibited. Any student found breaking this rule will face disciplinary action under University laws as stated in the Student Handbook.
Occupants are also legally responsible for University property within their units. Misuse, vandalism, or neglect of hostel facilities will attract penalties and surcharges.
Official portal for eligible students
Eligible students should log in through the AKUM hostel accommodation portal on or after the opening date.
