The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has announced that the second batch of results for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination will be released before midnight on Saturday.
That update came from JAMB’s Public Communication Adviser, Fabian Benjamin, who said candidates who sat for the examination on Friday, 17 April 2026, would get their results later in the day. For many candidates, that gave a Clear timeline; the wait now has a stated end point.
JAMB fixed the release for before midnight on Saturday
Fabian Benjamin disclosed the update in a post on his official X handle. He said the results of the UTME conducted on Friday, 17 April 2026, would be released before midnight.
His words were direct: “The results of the UTME conducted on Friday, 17 April 2026, will be released before midnight today.”
He also said an official notice would be issued once the results are released. Updates, he added, would also appear on his social media page.
The first batch had already been released
This new release comes after JAMB earlier published results for candidates who wrote the examination on Thursday. In that earlier batch, 632,788 candidates were able to access their scores.
The 2026 UTME is still underway
The 2026 UTME began nationwide on Thursday. The examination is expected to involve more than two million candidates across accredited computer-based test centres across the country.
That means results are still coming in as the exercise continues; this second batch is part of that wider process.
How to check the JAMB result
Candidates can check through the SMS route. The process needs the correct SIM and N50 airtime.
