JAMB Warns Public Over Fake 394 UTME Result Slip

Updated: April 28, 2026 by Ayo Faith

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has described a purported 2026 UTME result slip showing a score of 394 as fake.

The result slip has been shared by some Nigerians, even though JAMB said current UTME results are view-only. The Board also pointed out that the document used a fabricated result template; that detail alone raises a clear red flag.

Why JAMB rejected the circulated result

JAMB said the fake slip does not match how its results currently appear. UTME results, at this stage, cannot be presented as the result slip being shared.

The Board also stated that its registration numbers are system-generated. They do not follow the “20269” pattern shown on the fake document. That mismatch, On its own, weakens the claim behind the result.

JAMB points to other inconsistencies

Beyond the template and registration number, JAMB said the fake result contains other inconsistencies that expose it as fraudulent at a glance.

The Board did not treat the slip as a valid record. It asked the public to disregard the claim and avoid sharing the document as an authentic UTME result.

Public urged to rely on official JAMB channels

JAMB advised Nigerians to rely only on official channels for correct updates on UTME results.

The Board also repeated that all current results remain view-only. Any result slip claiming to show the highest UTME score should be checked against JAMB’s stated position before anyone shares it further.

Key point for candidates and parents

Candidates, parents, and schools should treat the purported 394 UTME score as fake.

JAMB has made its position clear: the circulated document is not authentic, its template is fabricated, and the registration number pattern does not match the Board’s system.
