Jimoh Babalola University, JBU, Ilorin, has announced the start of its 2026/2027 admission exercise. The private university, licensed by the National Universities Commission, NUC, is inviting qualified candidates to apply for admission into undergraduate programmes across selected faculties.

JBU post-UTME application rules
The university gave clear steps for candidates seeking post-UTME screening.
Candidates who selected Jimoh Babalola University as their first choice on the 2026/2027 JAMB CAPS portal and scored 150 or above can apply for the screening.
Candidates who did not choose the university at first can still apply by changing their university to JBU on the JAMB CAPS portal, provided they meet the minimum UTME score.
Applicants must complete the application on the Jimoh Babalola University admission portal and pay a non-refundable application fee of N20,000, excluding portal access charges.
Successful candidates will receive admission notice through the university admission portal and the JAMB CAPS platform. To complete the process, the candidate must accept the offer on JAMB CAPS once notified.
Direct Entry admission at Jimoh Babalola University
Jimoh Babalola University is also accepting Direct Entry applications from candidates with any of these qualifications:
- ND
- NCE
- HND
- IJMB
- JUPEB
- GCE A’Level
- Other recognised equivalent qualifications
Interested candidates are expected to apply online through the university website and pay the required application fee of N20,000.
Admission requirements
The university stated that applicants must meet these conditions:
- A valid JAMB Direct Entry registration number
- At least five O’level credit passes in relevant subjects
- Results from WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or related examinations
- Results obtained in not more than two sittings
The university also stated that applicants with IJMB, JUPEB, or GCE A’Level results are eligible.
Community Health Extension Workers, CHEW, with valid professional licences may also apply.
Prospective students must ensure that their O’level subjects and UTME subject combinations match national admission policies. The candidate must also be at least 16 years old.
General eligibility
Applicants must have at least five credit passes in relevant subjects in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB, obtained in not more than two sittings. That requirement stays central, and the age rule also stands.
