Program Duration and Structure
The Pre-Degree Science Program lasts for six months and includes a mandatory three-month ICT training.
This setup ensures you have a solid foundation in the chosen field while gaining essential ICT skills.
Admission Requirements
You need to meet these requirements to apply:
- Five O’ Level credit passes in subjects like English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Agricultural Science from WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB in no more than two sittings.
- Optional subjects include Economics, Geography, Financial Accounting, Marketing, Commerce, Business Studies, Government, Literature in English, Civic Education, History, Yoruba, and CRS/IRS.
- You can still apply if awaiting O’ Level results, provided you present them before the programme ends.
How to Apply for LAUTECH Pre-Degree Admission
Follow these steps to apply:
- Visit the LAUTECH Admission Portal.
- Make a payment of ₦15,000 for the application form using an Interswitch-enabled debit card.
- Fill out and submit the online application form carefully, as incomplete forms will not be processed.
Ensure all information is accurate to avoid issues during application review.
Key Dates to Remember
- Closing Date: Application submission closes on Friday, November 29, 2024.
- Print Confirmation Slip: Ensure you download and print the Registration Confirmation Slip with your passport photograph as proof of submission.
Entrance Examination Details
The entrance examination is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at the new ICT complex.
The exam will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT).
Make sure to arrive on time and be well-prepared for the test.
Placement into Degree Programs
Placement into degree programmes is based on several criteria:
- Performance in the Pre-Degree Programme.
- Meeting admission requirements.
- Availability of seats in the desired programme.
- Participation in ICT Intensive Training.
- Performance in the 2025 UTME. Applicants must obtain the 2025 UTME Form and meet the cut-off mark specified by the LAUTECH Senate.
