NWUS Easter holiday notice and GST CBT test date

Northwest University, Sokoto, NWUS, has informed students and staff that academic activities will be adjusted for the Easter public holidays declared by the Federal Government.

The public holidays fall on Friday, 3 April 2026, and Monday, 6 April 2026. Even so, the GST CBT test fixed for Saturday, 4 April 2026, will go on as planned; that point stands Firm in the notice.

Easter public holidays declared for 3 and 6 April 2026

The Federal Government has declared Friday, 3 April 2026, and Monday, 6 April 2026, as public holidays for the Easter celebration.

Following that announcement, Northwest University, Sokoto said academic activities would be adjusted to match the holiday period.

NWUS GST CBT test will still hold on 4 April 2026

While the holiday dates affect academic activities, the university made one point clear.

The GST CBT test earlier fixed for Saturday, 4 April 2026, will still hold as scheduled. There is no change to that date.

Notice to affected students

The university directed all affected students to take note of the update and attend the test promptly.

That instruction is direct; students expected to sit for the GST CBT test should keep to the stated date and attend on time.

What staff and students should note

NWUS has aligned its academic activities with the Easter public holidays on Friday, 3 April 2026, and Monday, 6 April 2026.

Still, the GST CBT test set for Saturday, 4 April 2026, remains on the timetable. For affected students, the message is Plain: be present promptly.
