NYSC Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course 2026

The National Youth Service Corps Directorate Headquarters has announced the commencement dates for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course.

The directive, issued through an official circular, states that the exercise will hold at the same time across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory.

According to the circular signed by Nura Umar, Director of PRS, on behalf of the Director-General, the orientation course is meant to bring prospective corps members into the national service scheme through physical and leadership training activities.

The approved dates are listed below.

Commencement date

The orientation course will begin on Wednesday, 22 April 2026.

Registration period

Registration will run from Wednesday, 22 April, to Friday, 24 April 2026.

Registration cut-off

Registration will close at midnight on Friday, 24 April 2026.

Swearing-in ceremony

The swearing-in ceremony will hold on Friday, 24 April 2026.

Closing ceremony

The course will end on Tuesday, 12 May 2026.

What prospective corps members should note

The management states that the registration portal and camp gates will close promptly at midnight on 24 April 2026; prospective corps members are expected to report to their assigned camps on the commencement date.

This step helps them complete their documentation within the stated period.

Prospective corps members are also asked to come with all required original credentials and medical certificates, as stated in their call-up letters.

What state and FCT coordinators are to do

State and FCT coordinators have been directed to ensure that all facilities are ready for the incoming stream.

That notice is clear; camps across the country are expected to receive prospective corps members for the exercise.
