The programs, funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and managed by Nuffic, are designed to empower professionals involved in inclusive and sustainable development at the local level.

About the Scholarship Programmes
The Orange Knowledge Programme
The OKP aims to contribute to society’s sustainable and inclusive development by enhancing the skills and knowledge of individuals, groups, and organizations. Its key priorities are Food and Nutrition Security, Water, Energy and Climate, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, and Security and the Rule of Law. The program also emphasizes on Private Sector Development, Climate, and the Inclusion of Women and Marginalised Groups.
The MENA Scholarship Programme
The MSP focuses on societal development in the participating Middle Eastern and North African countries. It aims to build capacity within organizations by enabling employees to participate in short courses in various fields of study.

Eligibility Criteria
For the Orange Knowledge Programme
- You are a national of, and working in, one of the eligible countries.
- You are not employed by an organization with its own means of staff development.
- You have a minimum of two years of work experience.
- You speak and understand the English language well.
- You have written support from your employer to participate in the program and to implement the Back Home Action Plan.
- You are working in one of the priority areas matching the country focus in your country.
For the MENA Scholarship Programme
- You are a professional working in one of the ten eligible countries.
- You are 45 years old or younger on the application deadline, plus two weeks.
- You are not employed by an organization with its own means of staff development.
- You have a minimum of two years of work experience.
- You speak and understand the English language well.
- You have written support from your employer to participate in the program and to implement the Back Home Action Plan.
- You are working in one of the priority areas matching the thematic approach of the MENA Scholarship Programme in our country.
Application Details
Interested candidates are encouraged to prepare their motivation answers and all required documents in advance. The final application deadline is August 22, 2023, with an early bird deadline of July 19, 2023. All documents must be submitted in PDF format and must not exceed 2 MB.
