OSCOTECH, Esa-Oke, has banned students’ signing-out activities with immediate effect. The Governing Council issued the order after the Osun State Government directed schools across the state to stop such activities.
Why OSCOTECH banned signing-out activities
The notice states that the ban follows the Osun State Government’s directive that students’ signing-out activities in all schools should stop in Osun State.
The College said the order takes effect immediately; signing-out activities now stand banned and outlawed on campus.
What students must do after examinations
The Council directed that students who have finished their examinations should leave the campus premises immediately.
It also advised students, in their own interest, to stay away from signing-out activities after their examinations. The College made the position Plain: such activities are no longer allowed.
Restriction on non-students and ex-students
The notice also addressed people who are not current students.
Any non-student or ex-student who has no officially genuine reason to be in the College is not welcome in the College. Such persons should stay away during the ongoing first semester examination in the College.
OSCOTECH’s final position
The College said students’ signing-out activities are hereby proscribed in the College henceforth.
It closed the notice with a clear warning: “To be fore-warned is to be fore-armed.”
