Requirements To Study Guidance And Counselling At UNICAL
The University of Calabar is a Federal University in Cross River State, South-South Nigeria. In 1975, the university was established.
The university has a very large student and staff population and a diverse student body.
This is to inform the general public and all aspirants of the University of Calabar that the admission requirements for the Department of Guidance & Counselling have been published.
The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.
Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Guidance & Counselling include the following:
- Five (5) ‘O’ level NTC/NBC credit passes or TC II merit including English Language with ‘O’ level pass in Mathematics.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB
- English Language and any three (3) subjects
Direct Entry Requirement For Guidance & Counselling
Below is the Direct Entry Requirement for Guidance & Counselling:
- ‘A’ level passes or NCE in two (2) subjects plus the UTME requirements
JAMB Score
For any candidate to be admitted to any Department in the University of Calabar, the Candidate must score 150 and above in JAMB.
All applicants to the university are accepted, regardless of their cultural or religious background. Additionally, there is no restriction on applicants’ ages.
