Admission Requirements
Candidates seeking admission must meet the following criteria:
- Five credit passes including English Language and Mathematics at O Level in not more than two sittings.
- Doctorate applicants must hold a master’s degree in petroleum and Energy Economics or its equivalent.
- Master’s degree candidates must have a bachelor’s degree with at least a Second-Class Lower Division or its equivalent from recognized institutions. A Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Petroleum and Energy Economics is also acceptable.
- PGD candidates should possess a minimum of a Third-Class Bachelor’s degree or a Higher National Diploma (HND) with Lower Credit or its equivalent from recognized institutions.
- Applicants must have an NYSC discharge certificate or exemption letter.
Course Duration
The duration for each program varies as follows:
- Professional Doctorate Degree
- Full-Time: Minimum of 36 months
- Part-Time: Minimum of 42 months
- MSc and Professional master’s degrees
- Full-Time: Minimum of three semesters and maximum of six semesters
- Part-Time: Minimum of six semesters and maximum of eight semesters
- Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
- Full-Time: Minimum of two semesters and maximum of four semesters
- Part-Time: Minimum of four semesters and maximum of six semesters
