Description: Each year the University of Waterloo offers numerous entrance scholarships and awards to outstanding students. Entrance bursaries are also available to help students in financial need. Two scholarships, valued at $10,000 each, are awarded annually to outstanding students entering first year in the Faculty of Engineering: one to a student in Mechatronics Engineering and one to a student in Computer Engineering or Systems Design Engineering. Selection is made on the basis of academic excellence, extracurricular achievements as assessed through the Admission Information Form and the online video interview.
Eligibility:
- Entrance scholarships, awards, and bursaries are for full-time, first-year students who are in a degree program and beginning university or college for the first time in September 2022.
- You’ll automatically be considered for the majority of scholarships when you apply.
- Some scholarships and awards do require an application – these are noted in the database.
- An application is also required for the entrance bursary program. Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering and Systems Design Engineering only.
- English language proficiency must be demonstrated.
