USMLE Stands for the United States Medical Licensing Examination. The USMLE assesses a physician’s ability to apply knowledge, concepts, and principles, and to demonstrate fundamental patient-centered skills, that are important in health and disease and that constitute the basis of safe and effective patient care.

6 months before the USMLE test, go through Pathoma and First Aid. 3 months before the test, get UWorld. Do all of it, read the explanations. 4 weeks before the test, do some NBME practice tests. If you can do all that well, you should get a 240 or above for sure, and possibly 250+.

How to Score High In USMLE 2024

  • Be familiar with many topics that can be tested
  • Review the USMLE Content Outline and the USMLE Physician Competencies Outline (www.usmle.org)
  • Some options may seem correct, Learn to use the elimination method to remove wrong questions
  • If possible, try to answer the question in your mind before looking at options
  • Consider taking a practice session to get comfortable with the nature of the questions
  • Regularly use self-assessment to estimate your USMLE Score
  • You can purchase review courses that come in a number of formats with a variety of study materials
  • Make use of the resources offered by your medical school
  • Practicing 100-200 questions a day with follow-up analysis is an acceptable amount and any more may result in tremendous fatigue.
  • Take a short break after studying for a while. During this time, avoid checking emails or replying to messages.
  • Change your study environment when you feel the need to do so.
