Back in the day, AAUA was known as Obafemi Awolowo University. It’s changed its name a couple of times, but in 2004, it settled on Adekunle Ajasin University, paying tribute to the late Governor Ajasin. Today, it stands proud in Akungba-Akoko, where it has been since 1999.

Adekunle Ajasin University Admission Requirements For UTME Candidates
To gain admission into AAUA, UTME candidates must meet the following requirements:
1. Candidates must have reached the age of 16.
2. Candidates must have at least 5 (five) “Cs (Credits)” grades in their O-Level result (s).
That must include English Language, Mathematics and three other subjects related to their course of study.
For instance, a candidate that wants to study Medicine must have a “C” in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
3. Candidates must also score at least 180 in the JAMB UTME examination.
4. Candidates must also take the AAUA post UTME screening examination and perform very well (depending on the course of study).
5. Candidates must choose the correct subject combination for their courses.
6. Candidates must meet the stipulated cutoff marks for their courses to gain admission into the university.
7. Candidates must use only one result, either WAEC, NECO, or GCE. Two sitting results are not allowed.
AAUA Admission Requirements For Direct Entry Candidates
To gain admission into AAUA, Direct Entry candidates must meet the following requirements:
1. Candidates must get the JAMB Direct Entry form from JAMB to apply.
2. Candidates must have also reached the age of 16.
3. Candidates must possess at least five (5) Credits in their O-Level results. That must include English Language and Mathematics. However, AAUA does not allow two sitting results.
4. To apply for Direct Entry, you must have any of the following certificates: OND, ND, NCE, IJMB, Cambridge A level, BSc, HND, and ICAN.
As a candidate, if you do not meet all the admission requirements, you won’t be able to gain admission into AAUA.
So, you should meet all the school admission requirements and perform well in the required exams.
AAUA School Fees For New Students
Another necessary thing you should know about your chosen institution is the school fees.
Why? Because it is a crucial factor in the admission process and requirements.
However, your school fees at AAUA depend on the course or program you want to study, just like other institutions.

AAUA Cut-Off Mark
The school cut-off mark is 180. So, to be eligible for admission into the school, you must score 180 and above in your JAMB UTME exam.
What if you don’t score 180; can you gain admission? Well, you can admission into the school depending on the course you want to study.
But, you need to work harder and smarter because it won’t be easy.

The AAUA Post UTME form for this year is available online via the school website. You can visit the school website to purchase the form.
However, the closing date for the Post UTME form is the 5th of October. You have to purchase the form before then.

How Much Is AAUA Acceptance Fee?
The AAUA acceptance fee is just fifty thousand naira (N50,000) only. And the fee is not refundable.
Does AAUA Accept Second Choice?
No, AAUA does not accept second-choice candidates. If you don’t choose them as your first choice in your JAMB exam, no matter how high your score is, you will not be given admission.
Does AAUA Accept Two Sittings?
Yes, the AAUA accepts two sitting results. That means you can combine two results. It can be WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or GCE.
Does AAUA Accept Awaiting Results?
If you are a candidate with an awaiting result, be rest assured that AAUA allows candidates to apply for admission with awaiting results.
However, you must upload your O-Level result immediately after it is out.
