An Invitation to Celebrate Excellence

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Jeremiah O. Ojediran R.E. (COREN), FNSE, FNIAE, extends a heartfelt invitation on behalf of the University’s Council and Senate. The event promises to be a grand amalgamation of academic brilliance and cultural celebration, reflecting the university’s commitment to excellence in all its endeavours.

The university has planned a series of events to mark this occasion, each designed to showcase the diverse talents of its student body and the vast strides the institution has made over the years.

  • Monday, 30th October, 2023: Health Walk/Health Talk/Awareness Jingles at 10:00 am
  • Tuesday, 31st October, 2023: Computer Science Graduates Induction at 10:00 am followed by Engineering Induction at 1:00 pm
  • Wednesday, 1st November, 2023: Science and Technology Fair/Exhibition/Opening Ceremony commences at 10:00 am, with a Football Novelty Match scheduled for 4:00 pm
  • Thursday, 2nd November, 2023: A Hooding Ceremony for Ph.D. and M.Sc. Graduands will take place at 10:00 am. Later, there will be a Science and Technology Fair/Exhibition for Inter Collegiate Competition at 1:00 pm
  • Friday, 3rd November, 2023: The Convocation Play/Awards to Winners of Intercollegiate Competition begins at 6:00 pm, followed by the Convocation Lecture at 10:00 am and Admission to First Degrees (Direct Entry) at 11:00 am
  • Saturday, 4th November, 2023: The main event – Conferment of Honorary Degree; Award of Higher Degrees/Diplomas; Admission to First Degrees, and Presentation of Prizes will commence at 10:00 am.

All events are set to take place at the BUFF International Conference Centre, a testament to the institution’s commitment to delivering world-class experiences to its students and guests.
