Requirements To Study Theatre Arts At UNIJOS

The general public and all aspiring students of the University of Jos, (UNIJOS) are hereby notified that the Department of Theatre & Film Studies admission requirements have been published.
The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.
Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Theatre & Film Studies include the following:
Five (5) SSCE credit passes to include English Language and Arts subjects.
Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks
In UNIJOS, Fine Arts are not compulsory.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB.
- English Language.
- Literature in English and two (2) other relevant subjects
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Theatre And Film Studies if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
- Two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Arts, Social Sciences, or Science subjects.
Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks
UNIJOS accept certificate in Drama, Theatre Arts – Mass Communication, and Music. ‘A’ Level passes to include Literature in English, plus the UTME requirements.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNIJOS for the 2022/2023 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have a score of a minimum of 180 or above in your JAMB result.
