Jamb Change Of Course Institution Wahala: I have met three sets of candidates who are experiencing issues with Jamb change of institution and as a result asking three different types of Jamb COC/COI questions. I will list out the common change of institution (COI) questions and answers to them.

The First Question: I did a change of course but my old course is still appearing in the Jamb slip; how do I get it to show the course I changed to?

Answers: It is normal for your Change of Institution or Course not to take effect immediately. It takes some time for the school or course you changed to reflect on your slip. This is the reason you should make changes as quickly as possible so that your name can reflect in schools post-UTME.
Jamb hasn’t sent your details to the new school you changed to that’s why the new school have not seen your record. If you only changed course it is still the same thing. Jamb has not sent the update of a new course to the school so that your new course would start appearing. Finally, if you did the change of institution very well, then you shouldn’t bother much about confirmation.
You may be wondering, how long does it take for Jamb to send my details to the new school I filled in my change of institution? Less than a week under normal circumstances. It could also take more time.

I was offered admission to covenant university in 2012 and the same year Inn offered me admission. I chose Unn and graduated in 2016. When the list for Nysc was out I checked their portal but it said no record found. It was in August this year that I realised that I was supposed to change my Jamb admission letter to Unn and I paid #10,000 to Jamb. Up till now my name is still missing on Nysc’s portal when I key in my details. I have missed 3 batches already. Pls what do you suggest I do? I have contacted my school but they still couldn’t trace my problem. Thanks

I made payment for JAMB change of course after being given another course. After successful payment, I wasn’t redirected to where I’d input my year of examination and registration number.
