School or Course Changed to Not Reflecting On Jamb Slip

Jamb Change Of Course Institution Wahala: I have met three sets of candidates who are experiencing issues with Jamb change of institution and as a result asking three different types of Jamb COC/COI questions. I will list out the common change of institution (COI) questions and answers to them.

The First Question: I did a change of course but my old course is still appearing in the Jamb slip; how do I get it to show the course I changed to?

The Second Question: The school I changed to is not appearing; Should I still sit for post UTME since the school and course are not appearing on my slip?

The Third Question: I didn’t receive any email after a change of Institution, how am I sure that it was done successfully?

Answers: It is normal for your Change of Institution or Course not to take effect immediately. It takes some time for the school or course you changed to reflect on your slip. This is the reason you should make changes as quickly as possible so that your name can reflect in schools post-UTME.

Jamb hasn’t sent your details to the new school you changed to that’s why the new school have not seen your record. If you only changed course it is still the same thing. Jamb has not sent the update of a new course to the school so that your new course would start appearing. Finally, if you did the change of institution very well, then you shouldn’t bother much about confirmation.

You may be wondering, how long does it take for Jamb to send my details to the new school I filled in my change of institution? Less than a week under normal circumstances. It could also take more time.

  1. is is too late to do my change of course…. because i intend doing it next week mon tues or wed.. and how long will it take to reflect.. i want it to take time especially now that schools have start announcing their post utme screening exercise date. please, thank you

  2. I did change of course on the 7th of this month. Yesterday I wanted to purchase my school post utme from but it was showing me my previous course. I don’t know if to suspend the registration for now and wait till it reflects on the school. Or go on with the registration.

    • I went to register for post utme but my detail did not reflect on the school portal and I didn’t do any change of course or institution since I wrote my jamb what could be the cause of it

  8. I did change of institution to AAU since 11th of July and it has still not reflected. When will jamb send Tg details, AAU extended their sales of post utme form but only till on the 18th.what if it expires again and jamb still did not send the details

  9. Please I changed my institution but I can’t print the change of institution form… It keeps saying document is not opened… How do I know if it was successful and the payment I did is showing that it has been used already… My new school is still not showing after I login on there site

    Actually I did change of institutions before applying for my screening. Now at the process of application of my screening I was told I have been opportuned to change my course which was initially from business administration to another course, so of course I changed it on the school portal but now I noticed it haven’t reflected on my jamb portal pls what do I do. Because now on my jamb slip am having business administration while on my school portal am having economics and development studies. Thanks

    • Good please if you’re planning to keep up to economics and development studies, please kindl take a change of course form from your jamb portal because jamb will the one to send your details to the school eventually get admitted into. thanks

  11. Please I did change of institution to aau since 1st week of june.But, I’m having difficulties uploading my credentials for screening, a message that my application is not found is coming up what do I do?
