Can Someone With Genotype SS Join Military Force In Nigeria?

Someone recently asked me the question, Can Someone With Genotype SS Join Any Military Force Like Airforce Navy, custom, immigration or Police in Nigeria? Since then I have been pondering and doing series of research on the topic.

Although I have not gotten specific answers for each of the forces, I have come up with a general answer as to whether those with genotype SS can be recruited in major forces in Nigeria.

Someone said and I quote, “Your certification is not an issue, the issue here is your health status. Security is for able-bodied men, most people who failed the screening failed on health ground.”

Moreover, you should be strong to defend others and the country. When it comes to recruitment into military forces in Nigeria, health is of utmost priority.

Now, have you ever wondered why military forces in Nigeria accept low educational qualifications but recommend height and weight? It is more of a physical well being than academic qualifications.

In my opinion, military forces like navy, police, army and so on will not accept applicants with SS genotype. My conclusion is based on the arguments above.

However, if the recruitment does not specify the health requirement then you are free to apply.
