NIN for Jamb has come to stay. I have heard complaints where some candidates deliberately reduced their age during Jamb NIN enrolment for 2020. For others, it was just a mistake.

Following the new way to create Jamb profile, it is your NIN details that will be sent to Jamb for your registration. This implies that it is the name, date of birth, local government area and other details you filled during NIN registration that will appear on Jamb portal.
You therefore need to correct big mistakes you made during NIN registration or the details you filled that you didn’t know will cause trouble for you. You may have admission issue if your NIN details are far from being real.
For example, Jamb will use your Name on NIN, Date of Birth (DOB) and other details in your admission letter. If these details are different from the ones in your documents, how will you do clearance or registration if you are eventually admitted to a University or Polytechnic? It is too early to cause trouble for yourself.
