We’re excited to announce that the official timetable for the exam has been released, and we’ve provided the 2023 WAEC timetable below for candidates from Nigeria.
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the 2023 timetable for the May/June exams (for school candidates). The WASSCE timetable plays a significant role in helping candidates prepare thoroughly for the exams.

WAEC Exam Date for May/June
The 2023/2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates begins on Monday, May 8th, 2023, and concludes on Friday, June 23rd, 2023.
This important examination serves as a critical milestone for students in The Gambia, Liberia, Nigeria, and Sierra Leone. With the examination dates fast approaching, it is strongly advised that all candidates start their preparations as soon as possible to ensure success.
Adequate preparation will boost students’ confidence and equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills required to excel in the examination. Remember, a well-structured study plan and a commitment to hard work are key factors in achieving outstanding results in the WASSCE.
