Today on the Jamb series, I shall be addressing the questions as to how many persons gain admission yearly and the number of candidates Jamb will admit for the 2020/2021 UTME Examination.
The truth of the matter is that not everyone who writes Jamb gets admitted irrespective of their score. The sad news is that the number of those who gain admission yearly are far less than those who would have to stay at home for another one year.
If you have been wondering how many persons Jamb would admit this year then this article is strictly for you.
Without beating about the bush, only 30% of those who wrote Jamb in the year 2017 got admitted. About 38% gained admission in 2019. This implies that not up to 42% of Jamb 2020 candidates would be offered admission.
Some were admitted to offering their choice of course while others were offered related courses to study. This issue is due to limited spaces in the universities.
As a matter of fact, some candidates are offered admission to study in schools they don’t really like. Because of how hard it is to gain admission or the fear of staying at home for another year, they reluctantly accept the admission.
Now, what happens to others who are not offered admission. Would they Take Jamb 2020? Well, it’s all about choice.
Feel free to drop your questions in the comment box below. I wish you a successful registration.
