What are the Key Things You Should Learn Before Marriage?
1. Learn The Act Of Submission
The act of submission is not meant for the woman alone. Don’t get confused. First, you need to understand what submission means in this context.
The woman should submit to her husband but both of them should submit to one another. Husbands should learn the act of submission too before marriage.
The man should be able to allow his woman to give her suggestions, recommendations, and contributions at different times. It is better to ask for her opinion before making certain decisions except you must have married a moron.
The act of submission on the part of the man includes giving the woman opportunity for involvement, listening to her, and not expecting to always win in all matters.

2. Learn To Say Please And I’m Sorry
Common courtesy words like please, thank you, excuse me, and I’m sorry shouldn’t be a problem for an intended spouse. Anyone can work on him or herself to learn these simple things.
Matters can be easily resolved when respect is mutual and the parties involved are mature in their thinking. This is why you should know how to choose a partner before marriage. Be wise.
3. Learn How To Communicate Properly
Communication is deep and consists of words, signs, actions, etc. The most important thing about proper communication is knowing when to talk and how to communicate with the other person.
Marriage is liable to spur certain behavior or manners that could be of help or leave you at a disadvantage. So, you should learn how to communicate your views, feedback, grievances, and appreciation.
4. Learn To Cook
Cooking may be fun for you or not. What is necessary is that you can at least cook a proper meal for a number of people including yourself.
This way, as a male, you can help the home and yourself when it is needful or urgent. On the female part, it is expected that you should learn how to cook delicious meals before marriage.
In some cultures the woman’s role is amongst others to prepare meals for the home. However, depending on the couples’ jobs, availability, and schedule, both parties can allow what works for their home.
Chores should be shared, and roles like cooking can stay as the woman’s core responsibility with the man’s assistance when he is available.

5. Learn To Keep Secrets
Not everything is meant to be shared with third parties. If you know how to talk very well, you will need to learn how to conceal some matters, otherwise ‘soft’ information before marriage.
This is a result of experiences of other persons who unknowingly destroyed their homes because they failed to keep the home secret(s)
This secret is best defined as things that make for peace and progress of the marriage. For instance, the woman could be the breadwinner as the man is yet to get fixed. As long as the home is running, it should not be let loose in the open.
6. Learn To Be Organized
Responsibilities increase in case you are not aware. As a man, before marriage, you can do what you want but when you get married, you do what you both want. It is the same thing for a woman as well.
Being organized involves knowing how to balance the home, job, kids, families, friends, and faith. Everyone and everything is important, no one should suffer for the other. So learn to be organized and coordinated before marriage.

7. Learn to Improve On Yourself Regularly
Avoid being mediocre. There is always a better way of doing things. Pursue excellence in all you do as a person first.
Learn dependence and interdependence. Grow and increase in learning first as a wife or husband. Be responsible to improve yourself daily.
No one is an island of knowledge, so learn, unlearn, and relearn. Stay humble as a man or woman to improve your manners, your work habits, appearance, communication, and everything.

8. Learn to Tolerate And Accommodate Other People
This is one vital thing you should learn before marriage. Tolerance is not a choice when it comes to marriage, instead, it is compulsory.
Guess what, if you can tolerate your spouse, if there are any excesses, what about the spouse’s family and loved ones?
That does not mean there should be no boundaries. No! What’s required here is to know how to be diplomatic, in addressing matters that relate to tolerance and hospitality.
9. Learn To Be Teachable
This is the most precious thing you should learn before marriage. It will go a long way to help you successfully live with your spouse.
Life is all about one lesson or the other and so the more teachable you are, the more relevant you become in the marriage.
10. Learn How To Be Financially Buoyant Yourself
Here comes the last straw that will not break the camel’s back. Finance is everything. Be financially buoyant or at least have great hope to have a good financial return on investment.
Don’t go into marriage without a skill, a job, a stream of income, or a profitable investment. Act fast to become financially independent. Don’t always wait for daddy, boyfriend, siblings, girlfriend, and so on.
Do something legit to pay your bills. If not, you may jump into marriage because you want someone to pay your bills and it might end up not so nice.
