Using Awaiting Results For Jamb 2024

For the past few weeks, I have been receiving calls as to whether students with Awaiting results can register for Jamb 2024 since they are yet to write Waec and Neco.

Many candidates are wondering whether they can put awaiting results in their Jamb Form and then upload them when the results are released.

The good news is that you can register for Jamb 2024 even when you have not written Waec or Neco yet. You can also register Post UTME in your school when your results are yet to be released by Waec or Neco. This is called using awaiting results to register Jamb.

When you get to the approved Jamb registration center, simply tell them, I don’t have an O level result. They will immediately understand and know what to do. Make sure you know your Waec subjects since you may need them.

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has stated that candidates with Awaiting results can apply for Jamb UTME. Such candidates must have gotten their results at the point of admission into their institution.

The board equally stated that JAMB will not deny any Candidate the right to quality education. During registration, those with results will upload their results, while Awaiting Result candidates will not upload any. This will not in any way qualify them or make them less preferred to those with results.

  3. You can register. If the reg no for NECO IS not available and it is compulsory to use a reg no, then use that of waec and merge it or make them understand during clearance. If it is possible to leave it blank, better.

  5. Sir you say that GCE result will not be out before clearance? that i want to take the jamb as a fun?HOW? that means you are saying i should not go for the exam?but i heard that the jamb result last at list 1/2year?

    • GCE result will not be out before clearance. You may want to just take Jamb for fun or trial.

    • Don’t be faster than your shadow sir/ma. When you get to the river, you will cross it.

  12. but mr Fabian Benjamin the jamb spoke man said that those awaiting results must upload his or her result on or before August ……..but why that ?? ……I’m waiting for my neco ,an I don’t think it will be out on or before August

    • If NECO is aware, they will hasten the release of results.

    • Jamb made it clear that those with awaiting results can apply. I wonder where you get your news from…

    • If the result would be out before then, feel free to register Jamb.

    • According to senate, yes. However, Jamb didn’t say anything about that again.

    • Neco should be out before clearance. I don’t think that there is an issue with that.
