Let me quickly begin my saying that it is Money that Adds flavour to your labour in blogging. Absence of money in blogging produces annoying things.

Remember, when you have money, your matrimony will be renewed every morning. At such, this Episode will introduce you to the six practical ways you can make money blogging.

You may be wondering, there are many ways to make money blogging, how come this guy is only treating six? These are the ways of making money I have tested and trusted.

You may have come across one or two articles treating 50 ways to make money online and in the long run, you end up losing money Online and even Offline. You are about to get the real gist and not fantasies. NO FRAUDS!

Blogging is getting more exposure all over the world and it is true that there is money in blogging. However, not all bloggers are successful. As a matter of fact, it is either you succeed in blogging or you suck seeds.

Over the years, blogging has been the main source of income for so many bloggers. Some do it on a part-time basis while others actually don’t do any other job other than just wake up in the morning write few topics, publish on their blog. Believe me, most of these guys earn a good income from blogging.

If you are still wondering about how much you can make from blogging then think about TechCrunch that makes millions monthly and Even harsh of Shoutmeloud dealing with thousands of dollars monthly. That these guys and million others are making money from blogging doesn’t mean that Blogging is a Get Rich Overnight scheme. To make money from blogging you must be extremely dedicated and hardworking. I discussed this in my article on how many hours you should spend on your blog daily. The 6 Ways You Can Make Money Online Are:

1. Advertise And Sell Products Online:

If you are still thinking about how to make money even when you don’t have enough traffic then this is a sure way of making money from your blog. It may sound odd and you may be wondering how to go about selling products online. Trust me, it is as easy as ABC.

Another good news is that you don’t really need to be an Author to sell books Online. You can sell ebooks you create by yourself or sell ebooks for other authors in return for a commission. There are even some authors that will give you right to resell their ebooks.

All you need to do is get books that people will like. If you are running an Educational blog  you could get current affairs books, past questions, mathematics textbooks or other subjects from the Authors and help them sell it for an agreed commission. All you need is to place banner Ads in your sidebar or header link.

Once your book is written, you can design a cover using a tool like Canva and create a PDF of your ebook.

No matter your blog niche there are things you can always sell. You can as well package information you want to sell in form of videos, audio recordings etc. The choice is yours. There is no harm creating tutorial Videos and selling.

Don’t be surprised when you come to flashlearners the next time and it turns into the market place. So long it is not illegal, the money must be made.

Selling digital products on WordPress is easy with a plugin. You can install the woo-commerce plugin from the wordpress.org directory to set up your payment options.

2. PPC Networks:

PPC means Pay Per Click while CPM stands for cost per one thousand Impression. You may want to confuse the M in CPM to mean million but it is wrong. In Roman figure, M stands for 1000. Hope I have been able to convince you that CPM stands for Cost per 1000 impressions and not one million impressions?

Example of PPC network is the popular Google Adsense. Going through flashlearners (as at the time of writing this post) you will find one or more banner Ads around. The ads are sponsored by Google. I get paid for every click and every one thousand impressions on the adverts.

The amount you get per click in Google Adsense is called Cost Per Click (CPC). If your cost per click is $1 then you will get $100 for every 100 click on your Adverts. One issue you will encounter in Nigeria is low Google Adsense CPC. You are not allowed to click your Ads or encourage others to do so.

Another thing that scares people away from Google Adsense is that it is very difficult to get approval and very easy to get banned. Getting banned from Google Adsense could ruin your entire blogging career; especially when it is your sole income source.

One more issue with Google Adsense is that you can only withdraw when your Earning reaches $100. While it take some persons one day to earn $100  other bloggers spend about a year fighting to reach the $100 limit.

There are many other CPC And CPM Advertising networks you could try. An example of CPM network is infolinks. You get paid for every one thousand impressions on your Ads. Infolinks is a good Google Adsense alternative. It contains popunders which imparts user experience. You can remove the pop-unders.

I would have discussed many other PPC Ads networks but they don’t pay as much as Adsense. You may end up getting frustrated. I have tried about four other PPC networks but I always remove the Ads after two to three days due to their low CPC and CPM.

Note: PPC Advertisement Network is very effective for sites with high traffic. So before Monetizing your blog with Pay Per Click Networks make sure you have some traffic so it can be very effective.

3. Affiliate Marketing:

This is also a very effective way of earning income from your blog provided you are good at driving sales. Many top bloggers around make money from affiliate marketing. All you need to do is to join affiliate networks and help them market their products using your unique affiliate links.

When people buy through your link, the network will pay you some commission. When the commision piles up to a certain amount, you get paid via check or to your bank account.

I am into affiliate marketing and would Advice you to do the same. Affiliate marketing is more reliable and the payment is more constant than Google Adsense you can’t predict. The money I used to pay for VPS account and my recent shared hosting payment was what I earned from affiliate marketing. You can always do affiliate marketing alongside PPC Monetizing.

NOTE: It’s recommended to promote products related to your niche e.g if you blog on “cooking” then you should promote products like Kitchen utensils, not football jerseys.

If you’re interested in getting started with affiliate marketing, you can start by thinking about the products you already use that your readers may be interested in as well. Then you can see if they have an affiliate program that you can sign up for.

Once you have selected the products to promote, then you can use a WordPress plugin like ThirstyAffiliates to manage your affiliate links.

If your blog attracts reasonable traffic, then you can propose to companies, business owners etc to sponsor your blog in return for referrals, extra online exposure etc.

If its what they want they will be part of it and advertise on your blog. They can advertise using ad banners, text links or with sponsored post. And the good thing is that you have control over how much you charge for adverts on your blog.

5. Online Services

As a blogger, there is probability that you will have accounts on sites like Facebook, Twitter etc. Even if you don’t have personal accounts on those sites, I guess you would have created profiles for your blog on such sites.

Guess what, you can be making money by using those social media accounts to promote companies and businesses. There are bloggers that make money tweeting for companies, promoting companies & their products on Facebook etc. You too can!

Besides, if you know how to create a blog, how to set up Facebook, Google ads etc, you can be making money doing all that for those in need of such services. If you have services you offer, list them on your blog so that visitors to your blog will be aware of them.

Before you can actually start making good money from blogging, you need to write quality content, connect on social media and never stop learning.
